Personal protective equipment (PPE)

Personal protective equipment is used when handling frozen products within the frozen storage. It serves to protect our workers from cold-related injuries and illnesses like hypothermia and frostbite. Additionally, PPE helps to keep workers warm, enabling them to work more efficiently in cold temperatures.

 

We ensure that PPE is properly stored, regularly checked, and maintained to guarantee its effectiveness. The safety and well-being of our workers are of paramount importance to us.

 

The personal protective equipment worn by workers in the frozen storage are:
– Protective workwear;
– Safety helmet/hat;
– Safety boots (foot protection);
– Freezer gloves with thermal liners.

Information and communication technology

In today’s digital landscape, ensuring data security is paramount. At Amazone Frozen and Amazone International N.V., our dedicated ICT Team safeguards our data from external threats like hackers and internal risks such as employee negligence. We’ve implemented an efficient domain on our server to manage web requests effectively.


Furthermore, we’ve installed two automated docking stations. These stations provide a secure method for storing data backups, ensuring reliability and accessibility in case of a disaster. This proactive approach underscores our commitment to data protection and business continuity.

Dock station

In today’s digital age, data security is paramount for our companies. Our dedicated ICT Team ensures protection against external threats like hackers, cyber-attacks, and data breaches, as well as internal risks. We’ve implemented an efficient domain on our server to manage web requests.

 

At Amazone Frozen and Amazone International N.V., we’ve installed two automated docking stations. These stations reduce unloading/loading time, enhance inventory accuracy, and ensure secure product handling. Constructed with sturdy steel and aluminum, they provide a stable connection to land for container unloading without any thawing. The closed design minimizes freezing air loss and temperature fluctuations.

Freezer units

Our freezers employ a refrigerant to extract heat from the air inside, effectively cooling it down. This chilled air circulates throughout, keeping products frozen and maintaining their quality. This process ensures a consistent temperature, preserving freshness and minimizing food-borne illness risks.

 

To ensure seamless business operations and minimize noise pollution from generators and freezer units, isolation panels have been strategically installed. These panels foster an optimal environment, supporting our facility’s smooth functioning.

Electric forklift

Our warehouse employs electric forklifts for pallet movement, operated by aisle operators. These forklifts bring benefits of energy efficiency, eco-friendliness, low noise, and minimal maintenance. Given the frequent handling of substantial stock, electric forklifts significantly enhance our operational efficiency.

 

For safe forklift operation, our warehouse manager conducts monthly training sessions. Tailored for aisle operators without prior forklift experience, these programs underscore our commitment to safety, fostering a secure work environment for all employees.

Mobile barcode scanner

In our warehouse, we utilize mobile scanners during the order picking process. These scanners are employed to read important product information, including the location, quantity, brand, and description of the items. By scanning the products diagonally, our warehouse staff can efficiently gather accurate data and ensure precise order fulfillment.

For remote monitoring of temperature and humidity in our shipping area, we employ a Wi-Fi-enabled temperature cube sensor. This device connects to our Wi-Fi network and transmits data to a dedicated mobile application used by our warehouse managers. This arrangement facilitates real-time temperature oversight at all times.

 

This technology streamlines the process of monitoring our indoor environment and guarantees
adherence to the targeted temperature range of -18°C to -30°C. The digital thermometer is precisely
calibrated, offering dependable temperature readings and reliable data, enabling informed decision-
making.

Delivery Truck​

Our refrigerated trucks maintain constant low temperatures, essential for transporting perishables needing cold storage. With a versatile fleet, we ensure efficient transportation to diverse locations, maintaining required temperature levels to preserve freshness and quality.

From dairy to produce, our eco-friendly, -2.5 °C temperature-regulated trucks guarantee peak freshness upon arrival.

 

-Keeping Perishables Frozen 

Our wide range includes delicious frozen items, like burgers, steaks, scallops and meats, transported efficiently in our -18 °C temperature-controlled trucks, preserving their quality.

 

– Keeping your dry products separate 

We prioritize the separation and handling of your dry products, which include cleaning hygiene solutions, supplies and equipment, separately from food products during the delivery process.

Freezer Cooler​

Our Freezer Cooler represents the epitome of secure temperature-controlled goods transportation, upholding the integrity of freshness throughout. Tailored for customer-centric solutions, it ensures the safe conveyance of fresh and frozen food. Our concept centers around the seamless transport of refrigerated and frozen products within insulated containers.

Thermometer Gun
